Gidrostroitel, Osinovka and Sukhoi: locally, simply “the Right Bank”.

The place and its history

“The Right Bank” names a whole part of Bratsk rather than one residential area. Gidrostroitel, Osinovka and Sukhoi developed through dam construction, railways, timber transfer and resettlement.

The Angara explains this layout: the dam connected the banks by road and rail. These settlements predate the later administrative grouping, which should not be projected onto a 1950s map.
