The place and its history
The local-history account links Bikey’s development with forestry and railways. The name Bikey was adopted in 1962, replacing the earlier designation “Town No. 308”.
A new phase came with Bratskgesstroy’s subsidiary farm, whose construction began in 1980. Fields, farms and housing complemented the industrial economy. Bikey belongs to the Padun part of the city but has a different history from Energetik.
