The place and its history
Yuzhny Padun, or South Padun, is a distinct residential name within the Padun part of the city. The 1986 masterplan developed the southward expansion of housing.
The settlement at the Bratskoye More railway siding gradually became part of this development. It has a separate historical entry here because its name survives in recollections and transport landmarks.
