The local-history account links development here to the aluminium smelter and 1979. Housing appeared near industrial sites, while its legal status remained unresolved for years.
Novaya Stenikha entered Bratsk’s boundaries in 2014. This falls beyond the pre-1991 timeline but helps explain later place names. It is not counted here as a thirteenth residential area in the earlier list.
